About ToolJolt

ToolJolt is a growing collection of 208+ free online tools for developers, designers, marketers, students and everyday users. Whether you need to convert a file, format some code, generate a password, build a QR code or split a dinner bill, the goal is the same: solve one small problem instantly, without friction.

Why we built it

The web is full of utilities, but using them is often a frustrating experience — endless pop-ups, forced sign-ups, file-size limits, paywalls on basic features, and tools that quietly upload your private data to a server just to process it. We thought everyday utilities should be simpler and safer than that.

So ToolJolt is built on three principles:

• Everything runs in your browser. The vast majority of our tools process your data entirely on your own device using JavaScript and the Web platform. Your files, text and tokens are never uploaded to a server — which is faster and far more private.
• No sign-up, no limits. Open a tool and use it. There are no accounts to create and no paywalls on the essentials.
• Fast and free. The site is hosted on a global edge network, so tools load quickly wherever you are. We keep the service free and cover our costs with light, non-intrusive advertising.

Tools are organised into 11 categories — from developer utilities and design generators to data converters, security helpers, business calculators and everyday productivity aids. We currently have 51 tools live and are actively building toward a library of well over a thousand, adding new ones every week.
