Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
At ToolJolt (“we”, “us”, “our”), accessible from https://tooljolt.com, your privacy is one of our highest priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do and do not collect when you use our website and tools, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using ToolJolt, you agree to the practices described here.
1. The short version
- Our tools run in your browser. The text, files, code and other content you enter into a tool are processed locally on your own device. That content is not transmitted to, stored on, or seen by our servers.
- We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for personal information to use the tools.
- Like most websites, we use limited cookies and third-party services for basic analytics and to display advertising, as described below.
2. Information you provide to tools
The data you paste, type or upload into a tool (for example, JSON you convert, an image you hash, or a password you generate) is handled entirely within your browser using client-side code. It is never sent to us. When you close or refresh the page, that data is gone unless a specific tool explicitly saves it in your browser's local storage for your own convenience (in which case it stays on your device and can be cleared by you at any time).
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit any website, your browser automatically shares certain technical information. Our hosting provider and analytics may process standard log data such as your approximate location (country/region), browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This information is aggregated and used to understand traffic patterns and improve the site. It does not identify you personally.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Remember basic preferences (such as a light/dark theme).
- Measure traffic and understand how the site is used (analytics).
- Serve and personalise advertisements (see below).
You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not stop the tools from working, since the tools themselves do not depend on cookies.
5. Advertising and Google AdSense
ToolJolt is supported by advertising. We use third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve ads when you visit the site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to ToolJolt and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- For more information on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's Privacy & Terms.
6. Analytics
We may use privacy-conscious analytics tools to collect aggregate, anonymous statistics about site usage (for example, page views and popular tools). These analytics help us decide which tools to build and improve. They do not track you across other websites for advertising purposes.
7. Third-party links
Our site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
8. Children's privacy
ToolJolt is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA & others)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its processing, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Because the tools themselves do not collect personal data, most of these requests relate to advertising cookies, which you can control using the opt-out links in Section 5 or through your browser. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.
10. Data security
We serve the site over encrypted HTTPS connections and follow reasonable measures to protect the limited data we handle. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
12. Contact us
