Days Between Dates Calculator
Count calendar days, weeks, weekdays and weekends between two dates — for deadlines, leases and projects.
Counts the days BETWEEN the dates (exclusive of the start, inclusive of the end span). Weekday/weekend breakdown is useful for business-day deadlines, billing periods and project planning — though it doesn't account for public holidays, which vary by country.

About Days Between Dates Calculator
The days-between-dates calculator counts the exact number of calendar days from one date to another, and breaks it down into weeks, weekdays (Monday–Friday) and weekend days. It's the everyday tool for working out deadlines, notice periods, lease terms, project durations, billing cycles, and 'how long until / since' questions. The weekday/weekend split is especially handy for business-day planning — though, like all such tools, it counts calendar weekdays and doesn't subtract public holidays, which differ by country and region.

Frequently asked questions
Does this count the start and end date?+
It counts the span between them — the number of days you'd cross going from the start to the end. For a same-day range that's 0; from Jan 1 to Jan 2 it's 1 day. If you need to count both endpoints inclusively (e.g. 'how many days am I on holiday, counting both the first and last'), add 1 to the result.
How do I count business days (excluding weekends)?+
This tool's 'weekdays' output gives Monday–Friday days in the range, which is the business-day count before holidays. To get true working days, subtract any public holidays that fall on weekdays in your region — those vary by country, state and company, so no general calculator can include them automatically.
Can I calculate days to a future date?+
Yes — set the end date to any future date to count down to a deadline, event, due date or milestone, or use a past date to count how long ago something happened. The calculator handles any two dates and reports the absolute number of days between them regardless of order.
Does it handle leap years and different month lengths?+
Yes — it works on actual calendar dates, so February 29 in leap years and the varying lengths of months are all counted correctly. The day total is the true number of 24-hour calendar days between the dates, not an approximation based on average month lengths.
