Litchi Fertilizer Calculator
Per-tree litchi fertilizer planner — age-based doses up to 600:300:600 g N-P₂O₅-K₂O per tree/year converted into urea, DAP and MOP for your whole orchard.
Two splits: post-harvest (June–July, the big one, with FYM) and at fruit set (March). Skip autumn N — litchi must flush in summer and rest in winter, or it grows leaves instead of flowers.
Indicative planning figures based on published research averages. Local soil tests, varieties and weather change actual requirements — confirm with your agronomist or extension officer.
Orchardists use the free Litchi Fertilizer Calculator to turn the per-tree recommendation into total urea, DAP and MOP for the whole block — young and bearing trees included — without a single hand calculation.
About Litchi Fertilizer Calculator
Litchi flowers only on rested, mature autumn wood, so the feeding calendar is strict: feed hard after harvest, stay hands-off in autumn, and top up lightly at fruit set — the rest is patience. The calculator uses the age-laddered recommendation — 150:75:150 g N-P₂O₅-K₂O per tree/year (young (1–3 yr)); 600:300:600 g N-P₂O₅-K₂O per tree/year (bearing (8+)) — multiplies it across your tree count, and converts the totals into urea (46% N), DAP (18-46-0) and MOP (0-0-60) quantities for the season.
How to use Litchi Fertilizer Calculator
- 1Enter how many trees you have and choose their age/bearing stage.
- 2Read the total urea, DAP and MOP for the year, plus the per-tree nutrient breakdown.
- 3Follow the split note for when and where to apply each dose.
Why use Litchi Fertilizer Calculator?

- ✓Whole-orchard totals — no per-tree mental math
- ✓Automatic conversion to urea, DAP and MOP with the DAP nitrogen credit handled
- ✓Free, instant and fully in-browser — works offline in the orchard
Frequently asked questions
How much fertilizer does a litchi tree need per year?+
Young (1–3 yr): 150 g N, 75 g P₂O₅ and 150 g K₂O per tree per year; Bearing (8+): 600 g N, 300 g P₂O₅ and 600 g K₂O per tree per year. Two splits: post-harvest (June–July, the big one, with FYM) and at fruit set (March).
Why must litchi not be fertilized in autumn?+
An autumn nitrogen flush replaces flower initiation with vegetative growth — the classic cause of barren litchi trees. The post-harvest summer dose is where the year's nitrogen belongs.
What reduces litchi fruit cracking and burning?+
Even moisture through fruit growth, adequate K and Ca, plus light shade/windbreaks during hot dry spells; cracking spikes when rain follows drought at colour-break.
How do I convert the per-tree dose into urea, DAP and MOP?+
The tool multiplies the per-tree grams across your count, then sizes DAP to cover P₂O₅ (crediting its 18% N), urea for the remaining N, and MOP for K₂O — the same arithmetic an agronomist would do by hand.
Is this calculator free and private?+
Yes — free, no sign-up, and everything runs in your browser, so your orchard data never leaves the device and the tool works offline.
