Audio Format Inspector

Drop any audio file to read its real decoded sample rate, channel count, duration and estimated bit depth — verify a deliverable matches spec before you send it.

The sample rate, channel count and duration are read from the decoded stream and are exact. Bit depth is estimatedfrom the quantization step in the decoded float data — lossy-encoded sources (MP3/AAC) decode to float and will read as 32-bit/"float", so trust the bit-depth figure only for PCM (WAV/FLAC/AIFF) sources.
