Within the 12 months before the rating expires you need: 12 hours of flight time in SEP aeroplanes including 6 hours as PIC, 12 takeoffs and 12 landings, and a training flight of at least 1 hour with an instructor (waivable if you've passed a relevant check). All elements must sit inside that final-year window — hours flown 18 months before expiry don't count, which is the trap this tracker's date math protects against.
What happens if my SEP revalidation lapses?+
Once a class rating expires you can no longer revalidate by experience — you must take a proficiency check with an examiner, and after long lapses an ATO may prescribe refresher training first.
