Estimate your mustard yield weeks before harvest using the universal components-of-yield method. Mustard carries 150–300 siliquae per plant with ~15 tiny seeds each (~4 g thousand-seed weight). The formula multiplies plants per m² × siliquae per plant × seeds per siliqua × thousand-grain weight to give grains per m² and then yield: yield (kg/ha) = grains/m² × (1000-grain weight ÷ 1000) × 10.
